A collision led to Green Hell F.C. getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Argyris Moustakis hit a great ball. Rafael Cordeal might have been able to make a better finish in the 28th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Michalis Simopoulos. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rafael Cordeal ran back to his position shaking his head. After a rather tough play, Green Hell F.C.'s Fanis Kalatzis got a free kick in the 35th minute. Iker Froila showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fanis Kalatzis, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell German Daunte to make the kick off. The Green Hell F.C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Michalis Simopoulos should have stopped the shot. Green Hell F.C.'s Michalis Simopoulos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Serafin Gonsalve in the 62nd minute of play.
