The throw-in from Roberto Sarri in the 12th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Dep Colonia Avellaneda's Gavino Fernado. After some careless play in the Dep Colonia Avellaneda defense, Eladio Sotorrio kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Joaquin George. The Dep Colonia Avellaneda fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Joaquin George should have stopped the shot. 16 minutes into the match, Dep Colonia Avellaneda's goal looked a bit too open when Eladio Sotorrio came free, but Joaquin George reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 16th minute Jonathan Antecha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joaquin George saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 20th minute, Jonathan Antecha ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Joaquin George was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Dep Colonia Avellaneda's Joaquin George played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bordat Aries in the 53rd minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jonathan Antecha got free with Joaquin George in the 57th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 59 minutes into the match, Eladio Sotorrio had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Joaquin George. Dep Colonia Avellaneda's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Eladio Sotorrio was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. Joaquin George made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eladio Sotorrio in the 65th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bordat Aries in the 69th minute of play forced Dep Colonia Avellaneda's goalkeeper Joaquin George to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 73rd minute, Eladio Sotorrio reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Joaquin George. The goal made the score 0-6. With a little luck, Dep Colonia Avellaneda's Joaquin George got control of the ball when Andres Marines tried to sneak it across the goal line. Joaquin George was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Andres Marines had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Vanadio F.C.'s fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
