Socavon FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Intxixu Huarte was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 15 minutes into the match, Socavon FC's goalkeeper Toni Schumacher had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gustaaf Gendre. Giuseppe Baresi charged in rather forcefully in the 17th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Giuseppe Baresi the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 42nd minute Intxixu Huarte shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Guido Valkeneers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Socavon FC were awarded a corner in the 44th minute after Les Presidents FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Giuseppe Baresi took the corner. In the 45th minute Santo Pablo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Guido Valkeneers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 46th minute, Santo Pablo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gustaaf Gendre could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 47th minute of the match, but Toni Schumacher made a huge save. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-6.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gustaaf Gendre stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Guido Valkeneers didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ferran Rial went, in the 52nd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-7 was the resulting score. 64 minutes into the match, Intxixu Huarte had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Guido Valkeneers. Les Presidents FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Intxixu Huarte was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-8. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ferran Rial got free with Guido Valkeneers in the 71st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Timothy Flyte received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Guido Valkeneers tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Intxixu Huarte came free with the goalkeeper in the 76th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Guido Valkeneers could save by the left post. Guido Valkeneers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Intxixu Huarte in the 78th minute of the match. In the 82nd match minute, Socavon FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hernan Dorronsoro to maneuver through the defense. Gustaaf Gendre might have been able to make a better finish in the 83rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Toni Schumacher. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gustaaf Gendre ran back to his position shaking his head. Thys Goethuys hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Intxixu Huarte in the 89th minute of play forced Les Presidents FC's goalkeeper Guido Valkeneers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 90th minute of the match, Oxarra Guillemez tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Guido Valkeneers saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Guido Valkeneers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Intxixu Huarte, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. Guido Valkeneers didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Intxixu Huarte went, in the 96th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-9 was the resulting score. The Les Presidents FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Socavon FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
