After having played for 19 minutes, Wágner Andrade managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Desportivo Coala's supporters crossed their fingers, but Wágner Andrade was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 21 minutes into the match, Domselaar's goal looked a bit too open when João Paulo Cearense came free, but Everardo Abar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Domselaar's Everardo Abar got control of the ball when João Paulo Cearense tried to sneak it across the goal line. Fabiano de Medeiros made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amado Belo in the 24th minute of play. 27 minutes into the match, Placido Pudes had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Fabiano de Medeiros. Desportivo Coala's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Placido Pudes was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Desportivo Coala's supporters rose to their feet, but Wágner Andrade was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Everardo Abar breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Everardo Abar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from João Paulo Cearense, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. 1-3 came through a penalty shot after 42 played minutes, when Desportivo Coala:s Cléberson Custódio calmly waited for Domselaar:s goalkeeper to move before he rolled in the ball by the right post. Disappointed in the 1-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Placido Pudes was the one to do the kick off. Fabiano de Medeiros made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Placido Pudes in the 52nd minute of play. Fabiano de Medeiros came out of the goal and Pedro Jacindo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 74th minute, Wágner Andrade hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Everardo Abar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from João Paulo Cearense in the 81st minute of play. Desportivo Coala's Fabiano de Medeiros proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 84th minute of the match, managed to save Desportivo Coala from getting a goal against them. Although Desportivo Coala had been in control for most of the match, Domselaar still came away with the win.
