Fabien Barthez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Artal Burualla in the 28th minute of the match. If Artal Burualla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 31st minute, Walter Pico ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Fabien Barthez was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Artal Burualla to make the kick off. AFC United's Fabien Barthez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Walter Pico in the 59th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Artal Burualla in the 60th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fabien Barthez saved AFC United from getting behind. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in AFC United reached it.
