Thibaut Mazieres started the match with the kick off. Ahmed Grail received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Claes Stenström came out and tried to block the shot, but Ahmed Grail slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 5th minute. Sabri Fouquet made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Richard Kalfhage in the 9th minute of play. 13 minutes into the match, Frölundaboys's goalkeeper Claes Stenström had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ahmed Grail. Claes Stenström made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ahmed Grail in the 14th minute. Frölundaboys's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Ahmed Grail 16 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ahmed Grail in the 18th minute of play forced Frölundaboys's goalkeeper Claes Stenström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 21st minute of the match, Ahmed Grail tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Claes Stenström saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ahmed Grail in the 21st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Claes Stenström saved Frölundaboys from getting behind. 27 minutes into the match, La Pointe Courte's goal looked a bit too open when Albert Skräddare came free, but Sabri Fouquet reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 34th match minute, La Pointe Courte was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Thibaut Mazieres to maneuver through the defense. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 38th minute of the game. One of Frölundaboys:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of La Pointe Courte:s goal. When the match had been going on for 40 minutes, La Pointe Courte's Simon Boivin got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Claes Stenström. After a rather tough play, Frölundaboys's Richard Kalfhage got a free kick in the 43rd minute. Patxi Seux hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Claes Stenström showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Thibaut Mazieres in the 58th minute of the match. In the 59th minute, Patrik Vestberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 61 minutes into the game, La Pointe Courte's Éric Di Meo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Claes Stenström made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. La Pointe Courte's Tim Quantin was substituted for Patxi Seux. La Pointe Courte's Mathis Castella was substituted for Raymond Lherbier. La Pointe Courte made a substitution. Wilfried Mahé replaced Jérôme Leloup. In the 66th minute Ahmed Grail shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Claes Stenström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Thibaut Mazieres in the 71st minute of play forced Frölundaboys's goalkeeper Claes Stenström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Frölundaboys's Claes Stenström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ahmed Grail in the 72nd minute of play. Sabri Fouquet showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Patrik Vestberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. Claes Stenström took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Thibaut Mazieres, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sabri Fouquet came out of the goal in the 81st minute to try and stop a shot by Frölundaboys's Patrik Vestberg. But to his dismay, Patrik Vestberg quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-1. Gilbert Thellier lost his temper 85 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. Linus Moberg charged in rather forcefully in the 89th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Linus Moberg the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play.
