Tito Chayo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Waldir Urbano, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. A sloppy throw-in by Reynaldo De Mitri in the 21st minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Tasso FC's Caio Mendes. When Waldir Urbano came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the Tasso FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Waldir Urbano couldn't finish the play. Silverio Corderun made a fantastic save in the 40th minute, when Andres Mateus sent off a good shot on target. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Waldir Urbano stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 52 minutes, Segundo Oro made it 2-0 with a short kick to the right side. Tasso FC's Silverio Corderun tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The audience thought a goal was coming when Waldir Urbano got free with Tito Chayo in the 59th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
