Arif Burak Çimen didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Academia Monte Gordo's Hildeberto Sesimbra shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 0-1 in the ordered_time% minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wilfred Zaha in the 14th minute of play forced Academia Monte Gordo's goalkeeper Nuno Vasconcelos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Academia Monte Gordo's defense didn't have a chance, in the 15th minute, when Wilfred Zaha scored to the left of an out of position Nuno Vasconcelos, making the score, 1-1. In the 30thth minute of the game Wilfred Zaha who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Academia Monte Gordo's Nuno Vasconcelos was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The throw-in from J.P. Afonso in the 37th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by KOCAELİSPOR's Ali Faruk Hasanoğlu. 39 minutes into the match, Hildeberto Sesimbra had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Arif Burak Çimen. KOCAELİSPOR's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Hildeberto Sesimbra was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. Academia Monte Gordo's Manuel Couto managed to work through KOCAELİSPOR's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Manuel Couto dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. The supporters of KOCAELİSPOR booed when Academia Monte Gordo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 48 match minutes in a wonderful position. J.P. Afonso didn't get a good kick on the ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Rui Gama to strike the kick off in the second half. After 53 minutes of play, Academia Monte Gordo's Rui Gama made it 2-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Arif Burak Çimen was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 58th minute Hildeberto Sesimbra shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arif Burak Çimen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Nusret Dündaroğlu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 65th minute, Hildeberto Sesimbra made a precise shot to the right of Arif Burak Çimen. KOCAELİSPOR's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-4. After a defensive mix-up in Academia Monte Gordo's zone, Sümer Ruşen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nuno Vasconcelos came out of the goal and Sümer Ruşen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the match clock showed 78 minutes, the score became 2-5 when Rui Gama sped through KOCAELİSPOR's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Arif Burak Çimen. 81 minutes into the match, KOCAELİSPOR's Sümer Ruşen sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Nuno Vasconcelos narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 82nd match minute, Academia Monte Gordo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by J.P. Afonso to maneuver through the defense. J.P. Afonso kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. In the 90th match minute, Academia Monte Gordo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nicolau Madruga to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Sümer Ruşen's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Nuno Vasconcelos was relentless in the 91st minute of the game. Sümer Ruşen took the ball and in the 93 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Nuno Vasconcelos. Nuno Vasconcelos dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-5. The KOCAELİSPOR fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Academia Monte Gordo were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
