Ted Villabona could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 8th minute of the match, but Nestor Kirchner made a huge save. Nestor Kirchner made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ted Villabona in the 16th minute. 19 minutes into the game, one of Riesgo Cero:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. When the match had been going on for 21 minutes, Linterna verde's Fernado Abrea got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Nestor Kirchner. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Honorato Eneto during the 23rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 26 minutes into the match, Honorato Eneto notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of Linterna verde's Xantalen Ovejas. Xantalen Ovejas was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Nestor Kirchner made an important save on a dangerous shot by Katia Bonifaz in the 29th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Celedonio Xacintu in the 31st minute of play forced Linterna verde's goalkeeper Xantalen Ovejas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Xantalen Ovejas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adan Beltza in the 47th minute of play.

In the 50th minute, Paulo-Eduardo Dybala left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Linterna verde fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-1. When the match had gone on for 55 minutes, Ted Villabona put it in 6-1 from a short distance just to the right of Nestor Kirchner. Nestor Kirchner showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Katia Bonifaz in the 58th minute of the match. After 58 played minutes Riesgo Cero got a freekick which was hit by Gualterio Pinto. Xantalen Ovejas stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Honorato Eneto's shot from short distance in the 60th minute. Nestor Kirchner showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Katia Bonifaz in the 63rd minute of the match. Paulo-Eduardo Dybala kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Linterna verde's Eate Urguia got a free kick in the 68th minute. Linterna verde's Xantalen Ovejas proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 68th minute of the match, managed to save Linterna verde from getting a goal against them. Xantalen Ovejas yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 7-2. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ted Villabona in the 82nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nestor Kirchner saved Riesgo Cero from getting behind. After 84 played minutes Riesgo Cero got a freekick which was hit by Rosendo Irrintzi. In the 85th minute Ted Villabona shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nestor Kirchner saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ted Villabona in the 87th minute of play forced Riesgo Cero's goalkeeper Nestor Kirchner to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 90th match minute, Riesgo Cero was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rosendo Irrintzi to maneuver through the defense. 91 minutes into the match, Linterna verde's Ted Villabona sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Nestor Kirchner narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When the referee ended the match the Linterna verde players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
