After 10 played minutes, Talleres's Silvano Liberto shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Xantalen Ovejas came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Talleres reached it. 12 minutes into the game, Ted Villabona recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Albino Nofre. Ted Villabona showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. In the 15th minute, Ariel Burko got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adolfo Diaz in the 17th minute of play forced Linterna verde's goalkeeper Xantalen Ovejas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 21st minute of the match Silvano Liberto shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Xantalen Ovejas showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 21st match minute, Linterna verde was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alejandro Saiz to maneuver through the defense. In the 24th minute, Paulo-Eduardo Dybala got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Linterna verde's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ariel Burko stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Talleres's goal looked a bit too open when Ted Villabona came free, but Albino Nofre reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Paulo-Eduardo Dybala's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Albino Nofre was relentless in the 55th minute of the game. Prospero Oriche hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match.
