In the 17th minute the ball was on its way in behind MarineerS FK's goalkeeper Erenay Barkan, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Aktuğ Kabakçı hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. Erenay Barkan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Roy Makaay in the 23rd minute of the match. Gabriel Chirculescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mehmet Yiğit, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Roy Makaay fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Erenay Barkan having to interfere. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Roy Makaay to make the kick off. Roy Makaay received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Erenay Barkan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Erenay Barkan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roy Makaay in the 58th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nic Verheijd got free with Erenay Barkan in the 61st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
