Shannon Marquez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kurt Wallengren in the 29th minute of the match. In the 32nd minute, Marc Vaughn made a precise shot to the right of Valdemar Anselius. Fulham Broadway FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. 35 minutes into the game, Will Yeats recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Valdemar Anselius. Will Yeats showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 4-0. Jonas Storey received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Valdemar Anselius tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 44 minutes into the match, Marc Vaughn had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Valdemar Anselius. Fulham Broadway FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Marc Vaughn was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 5-0.

The wind increased when Ari Currie made the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Jonas Storey left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Charlotte FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-0. With 65 minutes on the clock, Johannes Strömqvist commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. After a rather tough play, Fulham Broadway FC's Johannes Strömqvist got a free kick in the 66th minute. After some careless play in the Fulham Broadway FC defense, Marc Vaughn kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Valdemar Anselius. The Fulham Broadway FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Valdemar Anselius should have stopped the shot. Valdemar Anselius showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ari Currie in the 76th minute of the match. Marc Vaughn might have been able to make a better finish in the 93rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Valdemar Anselius. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Marc Vaughn ran back to his position shaking his head. Valdemar Anselius took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marc Vaughn, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Charlotte FC had played much better football throughout.
