The throw-in from Danny Gibbs in the 13th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by MINEIROS's João Paraíba. After 14 minutes, Nico de Mendonça mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the MINEIROS and the Real Ale Madrid players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 14th match minute, MINEIROS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nico de Mendonça to maneuver through the defense. In the 17th minute, MINEIROS's Nico de Mendonça dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. In the 27th minute, Matty Deighton hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Toninho Goiano fell near the penalty area in the 28th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored MINEIROS's protests and gave Toninho Goiano a yellow card for diving instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gez Harding during the 29th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Gez Harding kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. After 32 played minutes MINEIROS got a freekick which was hit by Benê Amorim. Joel Quadros's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 38thth minute, Anselmo Papo skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. 39 minutes into the game, Nilson de Souza was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. MINEIROS's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Real Ale Madrid the free kick. In the 39th match minute, MINEIROS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nilson de Souza to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joel Quadros in the 44th minute of play forced Real Ale Madrid's goalkeeper Anselmo Papo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

Anselmo Papo came out of the goal in the 51st minute to try and stop a shot by MINEIROS's Nico de Mendonça. But to his dismay, Nico de Mendonça quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nico de Mendonça in the 56th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Anselmo Papo saved Real Ale Madrid from getting behind. 60 minutes into the match, Joel Quadros notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Real Ale Madrid's Anselmo Papo. Anselmo Papo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. MINEIROS's Vágner Gaspar was substituted for Christian Fernandes. After 65 played minutes MINEIROS got a freekick which was hit by Nilson de Souza. Anselmo Papo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joel Quadros, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Anselmo Papo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nico de Mendonça in the 70th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Joel Quadros in the 71st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Anselmo Papo saved Real Ale Madrid from getting behind. Nico de Mendonça scored 4-0 in the 72nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Anselmo Papo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Anselmo Papo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joel Quadros, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A sloppy throw-in by Laurence Markham in the 77th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by MINEIROS's William Guerreiro. Gez Harding fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Serginho Taffarel having to interfere. In the 83rd minute Joel Quadros shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anselmo Papo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Real Ale Madrid's Anselmo Papo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nico de Mendonça in the 86th minute of play. After 88 minutes, Joel Quadros mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the MINEIROS and the Real Ale Madrid players grew even worse after the yellow card. Anselmo Papo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Joel Quadros's shot from short distance in the 90th minute.
