SAPI FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Bastioes EC the free kick. Douglas Pena made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The wind increased when Bawang Merah made the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tyo Syarifudin got free with Douglas Pena in the 56th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. SAPI FC made a substitution. Pendekar Harum replaced Trifon Trúnkov. In the 65th minute of the game Rafinha Cavalcante made a throw-in which Adalberto Félix played forward. When the match had gone on for 69 minutes, Bawang Merah put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Douglas Pena. In the 71st minute Hasan Rumangkit suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. After 73 played minutes Bastioes EC got a freekick which was hit by Adalberto Félix. When Rafinha Cavalcante fell near the penalty area in the 74th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bastioes EC's protests and gave Rafinha Cavalcante a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of SAPI FC booed when Bastioes EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rafinha Cavalcante didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, SAPI FC's Pendekar Harum got a free kick in the 78th minute. In the 79th minute of the match Agostinho Reis shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Paijo Sutrisna showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 88 minutes into the game, Bastioes EC's Akiba Teben nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Paijo Sutrisna made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. Tyo Syarifudin might have been able to make a better finish in the 92nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Douglas Pena. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tyo Syarifudin ran back to his position shaking his head.
