Isidro Humphries was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Isidro Humphries made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jon-Ander Wallffiguer in the 13th minute of play. After having played for 15 minutes, Ivan Cambranes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Zorros del Desierto's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ivan Cambranes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jon-Ander Wallffiguer hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. Isidro Humphries took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Concetto Mare, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Zorros del Desierto's Ivan Cambranes got a free kick in the 26th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Concetto Mare in the 30th minute of play forced River tu grato nombre's goalkeeper Isidro Humphries to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jeff Clemons fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hugo Araya having to interfere. Isidro Humphries made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jon-Ander Wallffiguer in the 38th minute of play. In the 39th minute of the match Zorros del Desierto got a corner. River tu grato nombre's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Ivan Cambranes ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on Zorros del Desierto's corner Ivan Cambranes fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Isidro Humphries quite easily take care of the ball. Isidro Humphries came out of the goal in the 43rd minute to try and stop a shot by Zorros del Desierto's Concetto Mare. But to his dismay, Concetto Mare quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Simón Iturbe in the 48th minute of play forced River tu grato nombre's goalkeeper Isidro Humphries to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jon-Ander Wallffiguer was the one to do the kick off. Hugo Araya made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Archie Maddox in the 53rd minute of play. After some careless play in the River tu grato nombre defense, Concetto Mare kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Isidro Humphries. The River tu grato nombre fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Isidro Humphries should have stopped the shot. Blaine Creech kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. In the 66th match minute, Zorros del Desierto was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Javier Rufo to maneuver through the defense. When the match had gone on for 68 minutes, Concetto Mare took a quick shot and it went in 0-5 without a chance for Isidro Humphries to make any attempt to save it. In the 71st minute the ball was on its way in behind River tu grato nombre's goalkeeper Isidro Humphries, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 74 minutes into the match, River tu grato nombre's goal looked a bit too open when Concetto Mare came free, but Isidro Humphries reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Concetto Mare in the 80th minute of play forced River tu grato nombre's goalkeeper Isidro Humphries to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 81 minutes had been played when some careless play by River tu grato nombre's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Ivan Cambranes was slow to take the kick. During this time Zorros del Desierto's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Javier Rufo almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but River tu grato nombre's Isidro Humphries did a great save. In the 82nd minute of the match Zorros del Desierto got a corner. River tu grato nombre's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Ivan Cambranes ran over to the corner to take the kick. Bastian San Juan was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. The supporters of River tu grato nombre booed when Zorros del Desierto was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Chiquito Escalante didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 96 minutes, Concetto Mare managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Zorros del Desierto's supporters crossed their fingers, but Concetto Mare was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Zorros del Desierto's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
