TAVHIK FC's Luis Alberto Ibarboure managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Baltasar Bertin in the 14 minute of the game. After 15 minutes, Candido Johnson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the TAVHIK FC and the Cardiff City FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Candido Johnson kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. The throw-in from Baltasar Bertin in the 18th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by TAVHIK FC's Luis Alberto Ibarboure. TAVHIK FC's Enzo Cabrito played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Celso Walme in the 20th minute of play. 20 minutes into the game, Luis Alberto Ibarboure was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. TAVHIK FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cardiff City FC the free kick. In the 20th match minute, TAVHIK FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luis Alberto Ibarboure to maneuver through the defense. In the 38th match minute, TAVHIK FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gonzalo Sudi to maneuver through the defense. José Carlos Lorie blasted a shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Martin Rivero having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Celso Walme in the 43rd minute of play forced TAVHIK FC's goalkeeper Enzo Cabrito to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After the first half Cardiff City FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Enzo Cabrito took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Celso Walme, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 59 minutes into the match, Cardiff City FC's goal looked a bit too open when Candido Johnson came free, but Martin Rivero reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. TAVHIK FC's Enzo Cabrito proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 63rd minute of the match, managed to save TAVHIK FC from getting a goal against them.
