Lyubomyr Perekolyanovych showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mohamad Salah, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. In the 23rd minute, Leopoldo Pirmin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

If Cirilo Bastiaro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet as Alphonso Davies kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Lyubomyr Perekolyanovych. That made the score 0-2 in the 60 minute of play. Lyubomyr Perekolyanovych showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tihomir Kraynev in the 68th minute of the match. Lyubomyr Perekolyanovych made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alphonso Davies in the 77th minute of play. Tihomir Kraynev fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lyubomyr Perekolyanovych having to interfere. In the 85th minute, Blue avalanche's Nykteus Kouches dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-3. Riquelme 10 made a substitution. Edgard Ezkerra replaced Tiburcio Chano. Nykteus Kouches might have been able to make a better finish in the 89th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Lyubomyr Perekolyanovych. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Nykteus Kouches ran back to his position shaking his head. Lyubomyr Perekolyanovych showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mohamad Salah in the 90th minute of the match.
