In the 6th minute André Quintas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dráuzio Pena saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 8th minute Ultra Copos FC ™ were awarded a corner. Olívio Nogueira went to the cornerflag to take it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wágner Monteiro in the 12th minute of play forced Ultra Copos FC ™'s goalkeeper Diogo Costa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Guilherme Vianna sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 16th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ultra Copos FC ™'s goalkeeper Diogo Costa, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Diogo Costa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wágner Monteiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 20 minutes into the match, Ultra Copos FC ™'s goal looked a bit too open when Wágner Monteiro came free, but Diogo Costa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 21 minutes into the match, Wágner Monteiro notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Ultra Copos FC ™'s Diogo Costa. Diogo Costa was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. With a little luck, Ultra Copos FC ™'s Diogo Costa got control of the ball when Armandinho Abreu tried to sneak it across the goal line. Wágner Monteiro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Clube Audax Metropolitano's Naldo Esteves was substituted for Benê Veiga. After a rather tough play, Ultra Copos FC ™'s Sebastião Carvalhais got a free kick in the 38th minute. 42 minutes into the game, Clube Audax Metropolitano's Wágner Monteiro nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Diogo Costa made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. Diogo Costa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wágner Monteiro in the 48th minute of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-0.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Armandinho Abreu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Wágner Monteiro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Diogo Costa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 51st minute of play. 52 minutes into the match, Wágner Monteiro had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Diogo Costa. Ultra Copos FC ™'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Wágner Monteiro was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. After a rather tough play, Clube Audax Metropolitano's Wágner Monteiro got a free kick in the 57th minute. In the 65th minute Wágner Monteiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Diogo Costa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Diogo Costa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wágner Monteiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. With a little luck, Clube Audax Metropolitano's Dráuzio Pena got control of the ball when André Quintas tried to sneak it across the goal line. Diogo Costa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Armandinho Abreu in the 72nd minute of the match. In the 74th minute, Wágner Monteiro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 78 minutes of play, Clube Audax Metropolitano's Wágner Monteiro made it 7-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Diogo Costa was left in no man's land by his defense there! Diogo Costa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Armandinho Abreu, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. A sloppy throw-in by Rodolfo Mota in the 86th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Clube Audax Metropolitano's Guilherme Vianna. In the 87th minute Wágner Monteiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Diogo Costa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Armando Guerreiro blasted a shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Dráuzio Pena having to make a save. Wágner Monteiro took the ball and in the 92 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Diogo Costa. Diogo Costa dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 8-0. When Clube Audax Metropolitano's Wágner Monteiro in the 95th minute got a chance for a shot 95th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ultra Copos FC ™'s goalie prevented a goal. In the 96th minute, Wágner Monteiro left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Clube Audax Metropolitano fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 9-0. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Clube Audax Metropolitano fully deserved thier win.
