FC Jones's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 10th minute, Patrick Dahlman managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Jones's supporters rose to their feet, but Patrick Dahlman was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Volker Timmermann breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 11th match minute, PoznanGalaxy was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Amadeo Wright to maneuver through the defense. PoznanGalaxy's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Niels Gerigk in the 19th minute. PoznanGalaxy were awarded a corner in the 21th minute after FC Jones's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Niels Gerigk took the corner. Luis Piepenburg recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Clark Wolters during the 28th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Clark Wolters kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. In the 29th minute Manu Nyyssönen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Volker Timmermann saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 29th minute, Manu Nyyssönen made a precise shot to the right of Volker Timmermann. PoznanGalaxy's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. An unexpected shot in the 44th minute by Manu Nyyssönen got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. After 46 played minutes PoznanGalaxy got a freekick which was hit by Claus Caßemayer. Volker Timmermann showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Manu Nyyssönen, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute.

If Franz Külow had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 54th minute Vilho Luotonen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Volker Timmermann saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Xu Chong Yuan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luis Piepenburg in the 57th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when 巩翔傲 got free with Xu Chong Yuan in the 60th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A nice corner shot did that Niels Gerigk got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Xu Chong Yuan quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Xu Chong Yuan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fritz Fograscher, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when 巩翔傲 got free with Xu Chong Yuan in the 69th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 73rd match minute, PoznanGalaxy was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Claus Caßemayer to maneuver through the defense. In the 77th match minute, PoznanGalaxy was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luis Piepenburg to maneuver through the defense. Manu Nyyssönen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Volker Timmermann having to interfere. After a rather tough play, FC Jones's Pertti Heliskoski got a free kick in the 81st minute. PoznanGalaxy were awarded a corner in the 90th minute after FC Jones's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Niels Gerigk took the corner. It was a well-played corner which Fritz Fograscher managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand.
