The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Amos Toschi kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. Emilio Grimaldi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Nicolae Borcea tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 7th minute, Vintilă Ilie hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 8 minutes of play, FC Mims's Arturo Baciadonne made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Nicolae Borcea was left in no man's land by his defense there! 12 minutes had been played when some careless play by RED BLUE STAR's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Angelo Marconi was slow to take the kick. During this time FC Mims's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on FC Mims's corner Angelo Marconi fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Nicolae Borcea quite easily take care of the ball. A collision led to RED BLUE STAR getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Victor Răcănel hit a great ball. Nicolae Borcea took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arturo Baciadonne, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Andrea Ronconi kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. In the 27th minute, RED BLUE STAR's Victor Răcănel seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Victor Răcănel the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of RED BLUE STAR protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Victor Răcănel had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The supporters of FC Mims booed when RED BLUE STAR was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Victor Răcănel didn't get a good kick on the ball. Angelo Marconi struck a weak shot in the 28th minute. Nicolae Borcea didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Mims. 31 minutes into the match, Emilio Grimaldi had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Nicolae Borcea. RED BLUE STAR's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Emilio Grimaldi was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. A collision led to RED BLUE STAR getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Nae Vasilescu hit a great ball. FC Mims's Angelo Marconi couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 37th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for RED BLUE STAR. RED BLUE STAR's Nicolae Borcea played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Antonello Bartolomucci in the 39th minute of play. Arturo Baciadonne sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Arturo Baciadonne recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Arturo Baciadonne to make the kick off. Emilio Grimaldi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Arturo Baciadonne's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Nicolae Borcea firmly grabbed it by the left post. 63 minutes into the match, Antonello Bartolomucci dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Nicolae Borcea, 0-4. In the 66th minute Antonello Bartolomucci shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nicolae Borcea saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nicolae Borcea made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emilio Grimaldi in the 69th minute of play. Nicolae Borcea showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arturo Baciadonne in the 70th minute of the match. Nicolae Borcea made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Frank Di Meo in the 71st minute of play. With a little luck, RED BLUE STAR's Nicolae Borcea got control of the ball when Antonello Bartolomucci tried to sneak it across the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Antonello Bartolomucci in the 77th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nicolae Borcea saved RED BLUE STAR from getting behind. RED BLUE STAR's Nicolae Borcea played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Domenico Andreola in the 80th minute of play. In the 85th minute, Arturo Baciadonne made a precise shot to the right of Nicolae Borcea. RED BLUE STAR's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-5. If Frank Di Meo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nicolae Borcea showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Antonello Bartolomucci in the 89th minute of the match. Amerigo Taranto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paul Petran, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. In the 92nd match minute, FC Mims was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Antonello Bartolomucci to maneuver through the defense. Arturo Baciadonne kicked a quick shot right in front of the goal in the 94thth minute. Though ot was a great shot RED BLUE STAR's keeper Nicolae Borcea was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. Domenico Andreola fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nicolae Borcea having to interfere. When the final whistle sounded FC Mims left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than RED BLUE STAR.
