Omar Costante fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rueben Wildman having to interfere. Rueben Wildman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Juan Lizer in the 25th minute of the match. 26 minutes into the match, Dakar Olympique's goal looked a bit too open when Feliberto Olentzaro came free, but Rueben Wildman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Lee Hislop during the 30th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 30th minute, Lee Hislop hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some careless play in the Dakar Olympique defense, Segundo Oton kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rueben Wildman. The Dakar Olympique fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rueben Wildman should have stopped the shot. In the 34th minute the ball was on its way in behind Atletico Calamar Saavedra's goalkeeper Ahti Eelmäe, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Sean Chandler got his second yellow card in the match during the 41st minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. In the 42nd minute, Sean Chandler hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 46 minutes into the game, Cleto Pudes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Atletico Calamar Saavedra's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Dakar Olympique the free kick. The supporters of Dakar Olympique booed when Atletico Calamar Saavedra was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cleto Pudes didn't get a good kick on the ball. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Segundo Oton was the one to do the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Dakar Olympique's zone, Segundo Oton stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rueben Wildman came out of the goal and Segundo Oton tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Atletico Calamar Saavedra's Cleto Pudes got a free kick in the 52nd minute. Ahti Eelmäe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Geoff Vassell, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. A collision led to Atletico Calamar Saavedra getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Feliberto Olentzaro hit a great ball. Through an outstanding action, after 59 minutes, Rueben Wildman successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 64th match minute, Dakar Olympique was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Matty Dowrick to maneuver through the defense. Rueben Wildman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Omar Costante in the 65th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Segundo Oton's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rueben Wildman was relentless in the 66th minute of the game. The supporters of Dakar Olympique booed when Atletico Calamar Saavedra was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dakar Olympique's Keiran Woodyat got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 95 played minutes Dakar Olympique got a freekick which was hit by Geoff Vassell. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Atletico Calamar Saavedra walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
