In the 18th match minute, Laziali was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dani Gerov to maneuver through the defense. In the 26th minute Doncho Tzvetkov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alcides Calheiros saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Martinho Calheiros in the 27th minute of play forced Laziali's goalkeeper Radomir Gazenov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lazar Benatov kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. 60 minutes into the match, Laziali's goal looked a bit too open when Amílcar Mota came free, but Radomir Gazenov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 83 minutes, Mircho Vetzev managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Laziali's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mircho Vetzev was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With 91 minutes on the clock, Afonso Sacadura commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. Laziali's Radomir Gazenov played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paulino Salgado in the 94th minute of play. 97 minutes into the match, Laziali's goal looked a bit too open when José Gonçalves came free, but Radomir Gazenov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
