After 26 played minutes, SK Slavia Bohnice's Miroslav Bukáček shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Carroll Hathaway came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in SK Slavia Bohnice reached it. After 33 played minutes SK Slavia Bohnice got a freekick which was hit by Ladislav Foldyna. SK Slavia Bohnice's Petr Špulák was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Carroll Hathaway in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. The audience thought a goal was coming when Flávio Reis got free with Ota Chmela in the 43rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The wind increased when Stanislav Konvalinka made the kick off in the second half. After 50 played minutes Sipo EC got a freekick which was hit by Armando Prado. 52 minutes into the match, SK Slavia Bohnice's goal looked a bit too open when Flávio Reis came free, but Ota Chmela reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Martin Kožený received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Carroll Hathaway came out and tried to block the shot, but Martin Kožený slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 70th minute. After 84 minutes, Miroslav Bukáček mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SK Slavia Bohnice and the Sipo EC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 84th minute, Miroslav Bukáček hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ota Chmela showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Albert Hidegkúti, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. When Américo Marinho fell near the penalty area in the 90th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sipo EC's protests and gave Américo Marinho a yellow card for diving instead.
