The corner led to White Eagles FC's Steve Buckley getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. In the 15th minute Fernando Tolhauzsen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Garry Cobb saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Remicio Price fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Garry Cobb having to interfere. In the 45th minute, Steve Buckley made a precise shot to the right of Sandro Cavareda. AFC Richmond's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-3.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gez Eyre to make the kick off. Xavi Diaz de León received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Garry Cobb tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sandro Cavareda came out of the goal in the 54th minute to try and stop a shot by White Eagles FC's Matty Robson. But to his dismay, Matty Robson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-4. Matty Robson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gez Eyre could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 91st minute of the match, but Sandro Cavareda made a huge save. 93 minutes into the game, Steve Buckley recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Sandro Cavareda. Steve Buckley showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-8. White Eagles FC played a much better game than AFC Richmond and deserved their victory. The AFC Richmond players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
