Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jimmy Ekström ran back to his position shaking his head. Through an outstanding action, after 5 minutes, Cecilio Martinez successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Ariel Lihach fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tiburcio Liher having to interfere. 14 minutes into the match, Altamora FC's goal looked a bit too open when Hüseyin Rahmi Tanpınar came free, but Tiburcio Liher reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cecilio Martinez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jimmy Ekström in the 19th minute of the match. If Jimmy Ekström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Cecilio Martinez made a fantastic save in the 22nd minute, when Jimmy Ekström sent off a good shot on target. Tiburcio Liher made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ralph Spaan in the 25th minute of play. When Jimmy Ekström came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the Altamora FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jimmy Ekström couldn't finish the play. After having played for 33 minutes, Jimmy Ekström managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Altamora FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jimmy Ekström was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 37th minute the ball was on its way in behind Altamora FC's goalkeeper Tiburcio Liher, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Jimmy Ekström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jimmy Ekström could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 45th minute of the match, but Cecilio Martinez made a huge save. Brian Nava hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. Tiburcio Liher made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Liu Yuan in the 47th minute of play. After the first half Athletic Bostero were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Hüseyin Rahmi Tanpınar made a kick off. Tiburcio Liher made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ariel Lihach in the 51st minute. When Angelino Atauri fell near the penalty area in the 54th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Athletic Bostero's protests and gave Angelino Atauri a yellow card for diving instead. In the 54th minute, Angelino Atauri hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jimmy Ekström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cecilio Martinez having to interfere. Altamora FC's Manuel Azenha was substituted for Teófilo Estrela. Altamora FC made a substitution. Rodrigo Leão replaced Maximino Gizon. Altamora FC's attentive Rolf Pocobello managed to snatch the ball when Angelino Atauri made a throw-in in the 59th minute of the game. Tiburcio Liher took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hüseyin Rahmi Tanpınar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jimmy Ekström in the 67th minute of play forced Athletic Bostero's goalkeeper Cecilio Martinez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Angelino Atauri got his second yellow card in the match during the 71st minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. In the 75th minute, Jimmy Ekström ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cecilio Martinez was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Cecilio Martinez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Higino lago in the 78th minute of play. Amado Valverde hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the Altamora FC defense, Liu Yuan kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tiburcio Liher. The Altamora FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tiburcio Liher should have stopped the shot. Tiburcio Liher made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mario Asur in the 87th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jimmy Ekström in the 90th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cecilio Martinez prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jimmy Ekström hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. The Altamora FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Athletic Bostero's performance. The match ended with a win for Athletic Bostero.
