Manuel Tonio ran back to his position shaking his head. Wander Suzanne could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 7th minute of the match, but Wilfredo Irrintzi made a huge save. Charlotte FC were awarded a corner in the 12th minute after Gryffindor Lions's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Wander Suzanne took the corner. Antoine Hankins kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. Clemente Clemente took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gogo Vimaro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gryffindor Lions's Eustacio Gaxan managed to work through Charlotte FC's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Eustacio Gaxan dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Santo Iraido's late challenge caught a Charlotte FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Santo Iraido helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Gryffindor Lions's Santo Iraido got a free kick in the 24th minute. Mitchell Curry recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 34 minutes into the match, Gryffindor Lions's goalkeeper Wilfredo Irrintzi had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Wander Suzanne. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eustacio Gaxan in the 35th minute of play forced Charlotte FC's goalkeeper Clemente Clemente to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Clemente Clemente showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gogo Vimaro in the 37th minute of the match. The supporters of Charlotte FC booed when Gryffindor Lions was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Norberto Raphael didn't get a good kick on the ball. Clemente Clemente stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gogo Vimaro's shot from short distance in the 42nd minute. Wilfredo Irrintzi made a fantastic save in the 45th minute, when Kareem Stoddard sent off a good shot on target. Kareem Stoddard's late challenge caught a Gryffindor Lions's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kareem Stoddard helped the player get up and apologised. In the 47th minute, Kareem Stoddard hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gryffindor Lions's Froilan Astrada was substituted for Gogo Vimaro. The supporters of Gryffindor Lions booed when Charlotte FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 48 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kareem Stoddard didn't get a good kick on the ball. After the first half Gryffindor Lions were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Björn Magnusson stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kareem Stoddard in the 53rd minute of play forced Gryffindor Lions's goalkeeper Wilfredo Irrintzi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 54 minutes into the match, Charlotte FC's goalkeeper Clemente Clemente had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Froilan Astrada. Wander Suzanne took the ball and in the 57 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Wilfredo Irrintzi. Wilfredo Irrintzi dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. After 63 minutes of play, Charlotte FC's Björn Magnusson made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Wilfredo Irrintzi was left in no man's land by his defense there! Wander Suzanne received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Wilfredo Irrintzi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Primo Dunđer hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. Björn Magnusson struck a weak shot in the 76th minute. Wilfredo Irrintzi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Charlotte FC. After 76 minutes, Wander Suzanne made it 3-1 with a short kick to the right side. Gryffindor Lions's Wilfredo Irrintzi tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Gryffindor Lions's Wilfredo Irrintzi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kaja Jamak in the 79th minute of play. Kaja Jamak hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. Santo Iraido was shown his second yellow card after 84 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Santo Iraido kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. A sloppy throw-in by Lane Velasco in the 88th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Gryffindor Lions's Deng Hong Ping.
