That made the score 1-0 after 3 minutes of play. Afonsinho Marques made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fernando Dracena in the 10th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fernando Dracena in the 20th minute of play forced Fala Sério FC's goalkeeper Afonsinho Marques to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 24th minute, Kauan Santos left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Fala Sério FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. In the 27th minute Kauan Santos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tarık İnanç saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tarık İnanç made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kauan Santos in the 28th minute of play. Kauan Santos struck a weak shot in the 28th minute. Tarık İnanç didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Fala Sério FC. Afonsinho Marques took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fernando Dracena, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bornova's Tarık İnanç played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by André Azevedo in the 32nd minute of play. Afonsinho Marques stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fernando Dracena's shot from short distance in the 36th minute. 37 minutes had been played when some careless play by Fala Sério FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Şafak Taze was slow to take the kick. During this time Bornova's players had a chance to rest. In the 39th minute, Fernando Dracena made a precise shot to the right of Afonsinho Marques. Fala Sério FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Kauan Santos was the one to do the kick off. Tarık İnanç made an important save on a dangerous shot by André Azevedo in the 56th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Michal Setara during the 58th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After some careless play in the Fala Sério FC defense, Fernando Dracena kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Afonsinho Marques. The Fala Sério FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Afonsinho Marques should have stopped the shot. Bornova's Hector Montrel was substituted for Fernando Dracena. If Hector Montrel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. A collision led to Fala Sério FC getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Reynaldo Prestes hit a great ball. In the 86th match minute, Bornova was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Beyhan Oğuztüzün to maneuver through the defense. Tarık İnanç made an important save on a dangerous shot by Anselmo de Castro in the 91st minute. The Bornova support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
