The supporters of Borgo Doria F.C. booed when Deportivo Marplatense was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jacobo Gabon didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 9 minutes, Fabio Bottone managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Borgo Doria F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Fabio Bottone was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Szabolcs Schimmer hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. In the 12th minute the ball was on its way in behind Deportivo Marplatense's goalkeeper Cristian Bermund, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Cristian Bermund came out of the goal in the 12th minute to try and stop a shot by Borgo Doria F.C.'s Dino Simeoni. But to his dismay, Dino Simeoni quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. After 20 minutes of play, Deportivo Marplatense's Cristobal Eneto made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Corrado Spitaleri was left in no man's land by his defense there! Cristian Bermund stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dino Simeoni's shot from short distance in the 35th minute. 37 minutes into the match, Borgo Doria F.C.'s Fabio Bottone sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Cristian Bermund narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Cristobal Eneto hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. In the 46th minute, Jacobo Gabon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Alberto Scutti was the one to do the kick off. Cristobal Eneto could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 51st minute of the match, but Corrado Spitaleri made a huge save. Deportivo Marplatense's Cristobal Eneto got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Cristobal Eneto struck a weak shot in the 61st minute. Corrado Spitaleri didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Deportivo Marplatense. In the 63rd minute, Fabio Bottone made a precise shot to the right of Cristian Bermund. Deportivo Marplatense's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. Cristobal Eneto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cristobal Eneto's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Corrado Spitaleri read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 71st minute of play. In the 72nd minute Deportivo Marplatense were awarded a corner. Cristobal Eneto went to the cornerflag to take it. Cristobal Eneto made a great header on Deportivo Marplatense's corner, it was just that Borgo Doria F.C.'s Corrado Spitaleri managed to reach the ball for a save. Cristian Bermund showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alberto Scutti in the 75th minute of the match. Cristian Bermund took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alberto Scutti, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alberto Scutti in the 81st minute of play forced Deportivo Marplatense's goalkeeper Cristian Bermund to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 93 minutes into the match, Borgo Doria F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Cristobal Eneto came free, but Corrado Spitaleri reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Despite being the better team, Borgo Doria F.C. failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
