The supporters of SILMONT booed when U.S.Normande was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bengt-Rune Mellberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. Christopher Barnier made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jean-Yves Bayle in the 9th minute of play. 12 minutes into the match, Bengt-Rune Mellberg had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Qiu Zhi. SILMONT's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Bengt-Rune Mellberg was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Thanks to some nice moves Jean-Yves Bayle could shoot a difficult shot in the 17th minute, which Christopher Barnier however easily saved by the left post. 19 minutes into the match, SILMONT's Jean-Yves Bayle sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Christopher Barnier narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 20th minute, Anatole Le Lay left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The SILMONT fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. When U.S.Normande's Youri Borderie in the 24th minute got a chance for a shot 24th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye SILMONT's goalie prevented a goal. Qiu Zhi stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Youri Borderie's shot from short distance in the 24th minute. 26 minutes into the match, Martial Haas had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Christopher Barnier. U.S.Normande's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Martial Haas was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. 30 minutes into the match, U.S.Normande's goalkeeper Christopher Barnier had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Anatole Le Lay. If Anatole Le Lay had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Qiu Zhi came out of the goal in the 37th minute to try and stop a shot by U.S.Normande's Youri Borderie. But to his dismay, Youri Borderie quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. Qiu Zhi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aurélien Mussard, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. Christopher Barnier made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jean-Yves Bayle in the 41st minute of play. 44 minutes into the match, SILMONT's goal looked a bit too open when Youri Borderie came free, but Qiu Zhi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Qiu Zhi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Youri Borderie, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The first half was very even, with the score at 2-2 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Anatole Le Lay stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Christopher Barnier showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anatole Le Lay in the 53rd minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Anatole Le Lay in the 53rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Christopher Barnier saved U.S.Normande from getting behind. 55 minutes into the match, U.S.Normande's goal looked a bit too open when Anatole Le Lay came free, but Christopher Barnier reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Christopher Barnier took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Martial Haas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 60th minute, Aymerick Tourrette hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. SILMONT's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Gabriel Duflos in the 68th minute. Gabriel Duflos made a great header on SILMONT's corner, it was just that U.S.Normande's Christopher Barnier managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 74th minute Aurélien Mussard shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Qiu Zhi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Titouan Canal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Christopher Barnier tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 80 minutes into the match, U.S.Normande's goal looked a bit too open when Omar Jakue came free, but Christopher Barnier reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 84th minute, Aymerick Tourrette ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Qiu Zhi was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-3. Christopher Barnier took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Xiao Zhen Feng, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Youri Borderie in the 88th minute of play forced SILMONT's goalkeeper Qiu Zhi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Christopher Barnier stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Omar Jakue's shot from short distance in the 91st minute. Aurélien Mussard charged in rather forcefully in the 94th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Aurélien Mussard the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, U.S.Normande's Aurélien Mussard got a free kick in the 94th minute. U.S.Normande played a much better game than SILMONT and deserved their victory. The SILMONT players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
