Christoffer Modig showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Miguel Castanheira, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. When the match clock showed 18 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Miguel Castanheira sped through Oakcroft Thrashers's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Christoffer Modig. Vipos FC's Gervasio Ixaka played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Svante Gustafsson in the 27th minute of play. In the 30th minute Ian Wright shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gervasio Ixaka saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 33rd minute Dino Grilli shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Christoffer Modig saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pascual Tadzio charged in rather forcefully in the 43rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Pascual Tadzio the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 45th minute Ian Wright shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gervasio Ixaka saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 46 minutes into the match, Vipos FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ian Wright came free, but Gervasio Ixaka reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

With a little luck, Oakcroft Thrashers's Christoffer Modig got control of the ball when Dino Grilli tried to sneak it across the goal line. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Vipos FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
