João Massa came out and tried to block the shot, but Bianco Cherubini slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 6th minute. If Bianco Cherubini had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Bianco Cherubini who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 17thth minute tested the skills of João Massa when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The crowd rose to their feet as Laureano Perfecto kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving João Massa. That made the score 3-0 in the 18 minute of play. João Massa was out of position in the 23 minute of play, and Bianco Cherubini capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Bianco Cherubini really showed his touch with that goal: 4-0. When the match had gone on for 28 minutes, Bianco Cherubini took a quick shot and it went in 5-0 without a chance for João Massa to make any attempt to save it. After 30 minutes, Valentin Esdras mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the C.F.Fuenlabrada and the UFC STEAUA players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 31st minute, Valentin Esdras hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 31st minute of the match Demetrio Di Franco shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Sebastián Torrico showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, C.F.Fuenlabrada's Ricard Ferrer got a free kick in the 34th minute. Bianco Cherubini's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but João Massa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 36th minute of play. 40 minutes into the match, UFC STEAUA's goalkeeper João Massa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bianco Cherubini. João Massa made a fantastic save in the 41st minute, when Bianco Cherubini sent off a good shot on target. João Massa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bianco Cherubini, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

C.F.Fuenlabrada made a substitution. Randy Doty replaced Julien Million. If Bianco Cherubini had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 57 minutes into the match, UFC STEAUA's goal looked a bit too open when Bianco Cherubini came free, but João Massa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 59th minute, Bianco Cherubini made a precise shot to the right of João Massa. UFC STEAUA's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 6-0. João Massa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edward Västerberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 65 minutes of play, C.F.Fuenlabrada's Edward Västerberg made it 7-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. João Massa was left in no man's land by his defense there! 69 minutes into the match, Edward Västerberg notched a goal, 8-0, to the right of UFC STEAUA's João Massa. João Massa was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 76 minutes UFC STEAUA's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Freddie Ljungberg who took care of the corner kick. C.F.Fuenlabrada's Edward Västerberg got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 80 minutes of play, C.F.Fuenlabrada's Edward Västerberg made it 9-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. João Massa was left in no man's land by his defense there! 86 minutes into the match, Edward Västerberg had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of João Massa. UFC STEAUA's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Edward Västerberg was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 10-0. 91 minutes had been played when some careless play by UFC STEAUA's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Freddie Ljungberg was slow to take the kick. During this time C.F.Fuenlabrada's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on C.F.Fuenlabrada's corner Freddie Ljungberg fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and João Massa quite easily take care of the ball. In the 92nd minute, Randy Doty got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 93rd minute Edward Västerberg suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. 93 minutes into the game, Alin Davidescu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. UFC STEAUA's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave C.F.Fuenlabrada the free kick. After 94 played minutes UFC STEAUA got a freekick which was hit by Alin Davidescu. Marin Mihăileanu made in the 95th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by C.F.Fuenlabrada's Randy Doty. C.F.Fuenlabrada's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
