Thanks to some nice moves Igor Milko could shoot a difficult shot in the 35th minute, which Claudinho Azevedo however easily saved by the left post. After some careless play in the Jaraguá do Sul FSCMZ defense, Vitinho de Barros kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cristiano Messias. The Jaraguá do Sul FSCMZ fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cristiano Messias should have stopped the shot. In the 38th minute Douglas Paulista shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristiano Messias saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 40 minutes Jaraguá do Sul FSCMZ's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Norino Anabalon who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Doğaner Doğu got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Cristiano Messias quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 42nd minute, Igor Milko fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Claudinho Azevedo, passed just outside the right post. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Cristiano Messias made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ian Barral in the 52nd minute of play. In the 54th minute Douglas Paulista shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristiano Messias saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Zé Carlos Madureira blasted a shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Claudinho Azevedo having to make a save. Jaraguá do Sul FSCMZ's Dagoberto Moraes was substituted for Igor Milko. After 60 minutes, Alfredinho Negri mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cambotinha EC and the Jaraguá do Sul FSCMZ players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 60th minute, Alfredinho Negri hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 61 minutes, Dagoberto Moraes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. In the 71stth minute of the game Dagoberto Moraes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cambotinha EC's Claudinho Azevedo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience was convinced that Dagoberto Moraes's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Claudinho Azevedo was relentless in the 76th minute of the game. Cristiano Messias made an important save on a dangerous shot by Doğaner Doğu in the 79th minute. The supporters of Cambotinha EC booed when Jaraguá do Sul FSCMZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gilson Matorin didn't get a good kick on the ball. With an all-out effort, Cambotinha EC's Cristiano Messias threw himself towards the right post 81 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Vitinho de Barros, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Cristiano Messias made a fantastic save in the 84th minute, when Doğaner Doğu sent off a good shot on target. With a little luck, Jaraguá do Sul FSCMZ's Cristiano Messias got control of the ball when Vitinho de Barros tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Dagoberto Moraes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Jaraguá do Sul FSCMZ were victorious despite being under pressure from Cambotinha EC for much of the match.
