Patrik Linqvist stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alfredo Martins's shot from short distance in the 18th minute. After a rather tough play, Marquês de Herval's Nestor Paraibano got a free kick in the 19th minute. 21 minutes into the match, Hubert Gruber notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Marquês de Herval's Dida Taffarel. Dida Taffarel was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. With an all-out effort, Marquês de Herval's Patrik Linqvist threw himself towards the right post 47 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Alfredo Martins, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The Marquês de Herval players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Ryttartorpets FF were winning 0-4.

Ryttartorpets FF made a substitution. Jonny Olofsson replaced Hubert Gruber. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Alfredo Martins stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Patrik Linqvist dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-4. Ryttartorpets FF's Patrik Linqvist played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nestor Paraibano in the 66th minute of play. Patrik Linqvist took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nestor Paraibano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gottfrid Backlund in the 74th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dida Taffarel saved Marquês de Herval from getting behind. In the 75thth minute of the game Alfredo Martins who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ryttartorpets FF's Patrik Linqvist was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Marquês de Herval's Dida Taffarel proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 78th minute of the match, managed to save Marquês de Herval from getting a goal against them. In the 97th minute of the match, Gottfrid Backlund tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Dida Taffarel saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After a rather tough play, Ryttartorpets FF's Taco Oldenborger got a free kick in the 98th minute. Ryttartorpets FF played a much better game than Marquês de Herval and deserved their victory. The Marquês de Herval players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
