Ronaldo Giovanelli was a little too slow when Zbigniew Trela got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 29th minute. The score was now 1-1. Ronaldo Giovanelli showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Rives in the 41st minute of the match. 44 minutes into the game, Paulo Renato Saraiva was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Galo do Japi's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Zgierskie Zlewy the free kick. The supporters of Zgierskie Zlewy booed when Galo do Japi was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paulo Renato Saraiva didn't get a good kick on the ball. Zgierskie Zlewy's Zdzislaw Moczkiewicz got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Paulo Renato Saraiva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Zbigniew Trela to strike the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Zgierskie Zlewy booed when Galo do Japi was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carlos Santana didn't get a good kick on the ball. 56 minutes into the match, Zgierskie Zlewy's goal looked a bit too open when Paulo Renato Saraiva came free, but Karol Ruszkowski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Galo do Japi made a substitution. Edvaldo Motta replaced Númi Fode. 64 minutes into the match, Zgierskie Zlewy's Zbigniew Trela sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ronaldo Giovanelli narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 67 minutes had been played when some careless play by Galo do Japi's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Seyhun Zati was slow to take the kick. During this time Zgierskie Zlewy's players had a chance to rest. Carlos Santana could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 69th minute of the match, but Karol Ruszkowski made a huge save. In the 71st minute the ball was on its way in behind Zgierskie Zlewy's goalkeeper Karol Ruszkowski, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 76th minute, Carlos Santana managed to get in a good position for a shot. Galo do Japi's supporters rose to their feet, but Carlos Santana was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Karol Ruszkowski breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Karol Ruszkowski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paulo Renato Saraiva, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. In the 80th minute Galo do Japi were awarded a corner. Cafu Ringaa went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Cafu Ringaa almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Zgierskie Zlewy's Karol Ruszkowski did a great save. With a little luck, Zgierskie Zlewy's Karol Ruszkowski got control of the ball when Carlos Santana tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 86th minute, Robert Doicaru ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ronaldo Giovanelli was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. Galo do Japi's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
