Napoleon Tylenda started the match with the kick off. Zico Zellier received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Gualter Roriz came out and tried to block the shot, but Zico Zellier slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 7th minute. In the 10thth minute of the game Lisandro Tab who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but GuateFortín's Nery Pumpido was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Matias Corte-Real in the 14th minute of play forced GuateFortín's goalkeeper Nery Pumpido to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 20th minute Matias Corte-Real shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nery Pumpido saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sven-Edvin Jansson in the 22nd minute of play forced Delta FS's goalkeeper Gualter Roriz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 38 minutes into the game, Matias Corte-Real cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Nery Pumpido was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 43rd minute of the match, Zico Zellier got a very nice opportunity to score, but Gualter Roriz was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Andaka Lao could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 54th minute of the match, but Nery Pumpido made a huge save. In the 55th minute Delta FS were awarded a corner. Song Qian Wei went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on Delta FS's corner Andaka Lao fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Nery Pumpido quite easily take care of the ball. Nery Pumpido took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Andaka Lao, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. GuateFortín's Nery Pumpido proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 62nd minute of the match, managed to save GuateFortín from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, GuateFortín's Stanyo Búnkov got a free kick in the 67th minute. GuateFortín's Mario Gomez was substituted for Roberto Trotta. GuateFortín made a substitution. Máximo Perrone replaced Angel Alvarenga. Nery Pumpido made a fantastic save in the 73rd minute, when Matias Corte-Real sent off a good shot on target. Gualter Roriz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sven-Edvin Jansson's shot from short distance in the 84th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Andaka Mula got free with Nery Pumpido in the 86th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Gualter Roriz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sven-Edvin Jansson in the 88th minute of play. In the 93rd minute, Delta FS's Andaka Mula ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Nery Pumpido. Nery Pumpido yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-2. Delta FS played a much better game than GuateFortín and deserved their victory. The GuateFortín players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
