Scarafia Ghost came out of the goal in the 6th minute to try and stop a shot by Estrela Solitária's Gerd Müller. But to his dismay, Gerd Müller quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 9th minute, Iustin Bâru made a precise shot to the right of Benjamim Dante. Estrela Solitária's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. In the 11th minute, Iustin Bâru left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Go Ahead Eagles fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Iustin Bâru blasted a shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Benjamim Dante having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Iustin Bâru in the 14th minute of play forced Estrela Solitária's goalkeeper Benjamim Dante to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Iustin Bâru in the 19th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Benjamim Dante saved Estrela Solitária from getting behind. In the 20th minute the ball was on its way in behind Go Ahead Eagles's goalkeeper Scarafia Ghost, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Iustin Bâru's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Benjamim Dante was relentless in the 22nd minute of the game. After 23 minutes, Iustin Bâru made it 3-1 with a short kick to the right side. Estrela Solitária's Benjamim Dante tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Gerd Müller made a great header on Estrela Solitária's corner, it was just that Go Ahead Eagles's Scarafia Ghost managed to reach the ball for a save. 33 minutes into the match, Estrela Solitária's goalkeeper Benjamim Dante had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fernando Amorebieta. Estrela Solitária's Benjamim Dante played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fernando Amorebieta in the 34th minute of play. When Iustin Bâru came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the Go Ahead Eagles fans jumped to their feet. Scarafia Ghost showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Chicão Amorim in the 40th minute of the match. In the 45th minute, Iustin Bâru made a precise shot to the right of Benjamim Dante. Estrela Solitária's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-1. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-1 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gerd Müller made a kick off. Benjamim Dante made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fernando Amorebieta in the 51st minute of play. 54 minutes into the match, Estrela Solitária's goal looked a bit too open when Fernando Amorebieta came free, but Benjamim Dante reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Go Ahead Eagles's Iustin Bâru in the 56th minute got a chance for a shot 56th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Estrela Solitária's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Iustin Bâru was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-1. 80 minutes into the match, Estrela Solitária's goal looked a bit too open when Iustin Bâru came free, but Benjamim Dante reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 80th match minute, Estrela Solitária was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Naldo Rossi to maneuver through the defense. Go Ahead Eagles made a substitution. Miltiadis Bourlokas replaced Iustin Bâru.
