August Hoffmanns made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-5. 25 minutes into the match, Tiburcio Marques had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of August Hoffmanns. Rot-Weiss-Essen's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Tiburcio Marques was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-6. Tiburcio Marques blasted a shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without August Hoffmanns having to make a save. August Hoffmanns showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tiburcio Marques in the 27th minute of the match. 29 minutes into the match, Rot-Weiss-Essen's goal looked a bit too open when Tiburcio Marques came free, but August Hoffmanns reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 30 minutes into the game, ₡ösᴛᴀ ᴆᴇ ₿ᴀʀᴙɪĿ's Tiburcio Marques nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. In the 38th minute of the match ₡ösᴛᴀ ᴆᴇ ₿ᴀʀᴙɪĿ got a corner. Rot-Weiss-Essen's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Waclaw Gniech ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 41st minute, Tiburcio Marques made a precise shot to the right of August Hoffmanns. Rot-Weiss-Essen's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-8. 45 minutes into the match, Tiburcio Marques notched a goal, 0-9, to the right of Rot-Weiss-Essen's August Hoffmanns. August Hoffmanns was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.

52 minutes into the game, Tiburcio Marques cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-10. August Hoffmanns was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. August Hoffmanns was a little too slow when Tiburcio Marques got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 57th minute. The score was now 0-11. ₡ösᴛᴀ ᴆᴇ ₿ᴀʀᴙɪĿ made a substitution. Ricardo Chepe replaced Waclaw Gniech. Jorge Joachim might have been able to make a better finish in the 63rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over August Hoffmanns. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jorge Joachim ran back to his position shaking his head. August Hoffmanns made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jorge Joachim in the 63rd minute. If Jorge Joachim had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. August Hoffmanns showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jorge Joachim, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. Jorge Joachim's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but August Hoffmanns read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 75th minute of play. Jorge Joachim blasted a shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without August Hoffmanns having to make a save. August Hoffmanns took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jorge Joachim, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. August Hoffmanns was out of position in the 82 minute of play, and Jorge Joachim capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Jorge Joachim really showed his touch with that goal: 0-14. Rot-Weiss-Essen's August Hoffmanns proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 85th minute of the match, managed to save Rot-Weiss-Essen from getting a goal against them. In the 87th minute, Jorge Joachim made a precise shot to the right of August Hoffmanns. Rot-Weiss-Essen's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-15. August Hoffmanns made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ovidio Marin in the 89th minute. Ovidio Marin received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. August Hoffmanns came out and tried to block the shot, but Ovidio Marin slotted it home off the left post making it 0-16 in the 90th minute. August Hoffmanns made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jorge Joachim in the 92nd minute of play. ₡ösᴛᴀ ᴆᴇ ₿ᴀʀᴙɪĿ's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
