The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Almir Matos's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Konrad Bubczyk read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 3rd minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Maurício Trigo in the 10th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jailson Teles prevented the ball from getting in the gole. AVAÍ F.C.'s Jailson Teles played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bennvar Elin in the 14th minute of play. The AVAÍ F.C. players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Mattis Magic Team were winning 0-4.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Walmyr Salles to make the kick off.
