Carlisle Fenwick could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 8th minute of the match, but Hu Fan Yi made a huge save. Carlisle Fenwick might have been able to make a better finish in the 10th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Hu Fan Yi. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Carlisle Fenwick ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jude Bowen in the 12th minute of play forced Boroondara Milan's goalkeeper Martyon Diehl to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 16th minute of the match Boroondara Milan got a corner. Buckingham AFC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Ned Mills ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Paco Everett got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Hu Fan Yi quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 22 minutes into the game, Carlisle Fenwick cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Hu Fan Yi was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Martyon Diehl showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jude Bowen in the 25th minute of the match. The Buckingham AFC fans' excitement grew in the 25th match minute when Buckingham AFC's Jude Bowen looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 28th minute Gheorghe Blajin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Martyon Diehl saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The corner led Buckingham AFC's Gheorghe Blajin to fire away a dangerous shot which Martyon Diehl despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 29thth minute of the game Jack Norton who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Boroondara Milan's Martyon Diehl was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Carlisle Fenwick fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hu Fan Yi having to interfere. Paco Everett's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Hu Fan Yi read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 34th minute of play. In the 36thth minute of the game Gheorghe Blajin who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Boroondara Milan's Martyon Diehl was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Boroondara Milan's Martyon Diehl played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jude Bowen in the 39th minute of play. Jardel Gol got in the 41st a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Martyon Diehl handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. Buckingham AFC's Hu Fan Yi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carlisle Fenwick in the 44th minute of play. After 47 minutes of play, Buckingham AFC's Jardel Gol made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Martyon Diehl was left in no man's land by his defense there! After the first half Buckingham AFC were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Carlisle Fenwick to strike the kick off in the second half. Hu Fan Yi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carlisle Fenwick, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 77th minute, Buckingham AFC's Gheorghe Blajin dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-5. 81 minutes into the match, Pier De Feo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Martyon Diehl. Boroondara Milan's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Pier De Feo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-6. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jardel Gol in the 84th minute of play forced Boroondara Milan's goalkeeper Martyon Diehl to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Boroondara Milan's zone, Pier De Feo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Martyon Diehl came out of the goal and Pier De Feo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thom Douglas charged in rather forcefully in the 89th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Thom Douglas the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Thom Douglas hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. In the 91st minute Jardel Gol shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Martyon Diehl saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 95 minutes into the game, Gheorghe Blajin recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Martyon Diehl. Gheorghe Blajin showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-7. Buckingham AFC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
