Mattias Olofsson didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Orfilio Orbañanos went, in the 41st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. StraX Xenon FC's Mattias Olofsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Orfilio Orbañanos in the 44th minute of play. After the first half U. de Tarapacá were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

In the 95th minute of the match U. de Tarapacá got a corner. StraX Xenon FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Mark Devia ran over to the corner to take the kick. U. de Tarapacá's Mark Devia was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Mattias Olofsson in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. The StraX Xenon FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching U. de Tarapacá's performance. The match ended with a win for U. de Tarapacá.
