Flávio Reis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 2nd minute. Julio Quinten tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Julio Quinten showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Flávio Reis, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. In the 9th match minute, Sajones F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gaspar Mambru to maneuver through the defense. 12 minutes into the match, Flávio Reis had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Julio Quinten. Sajones F.C.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Flávio Reis was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. After 15 played minutes Sipo EC got a freekick which was hit by Dráusio Costa. Julio Quinten took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vito Teles, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sajones F.C.'s Julio Quinten played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Albert Hidegkúti in the 19th minute of play. Julio Quinten made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Oséias Gerber in the 21st minute of play. A collision led to Sajones F.C. getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Ivan Prejun hit a great ball. Fidel Chan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A very good chance. The supporters of Sajones F.C. booed when Sipo EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Oséias Gerber didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 42 minutes of play, Sipo EC's Albert Hidegkúti made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Julio Quinten was left in no man's land by his defense there! A collision led to Sipo EC getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Noel Velloso hit a great ball. Carroll Hathaway acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 47th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Eliseo Cordarius.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Flávio Reis was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Albert Hidegkúti in the 51st minute of play forced Sajones F.C.'s goalkeeper Julio Quinten to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Julio Quinten made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Albert Hidegkúti in the 58th minute of play. Julio Quinten showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Flávio Reis, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. Carroll Hathaway didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ivan Prejun went, in the 86th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-6 was the resulting score. After having played for 90 minutes, Ivan Prejun managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sajones F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Ivan Prejun was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The Sajones F.C. fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Sipo EC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
