In the 2nd minute Augusto Benitez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tiburcio Ereinotz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Buffalo Timişoara's Alisson Becker proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 4th minute of the match, managed to save Buffalo Timişoara from getting a goal against them. The nice shot from Thomas Vollmar in the 5thth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Alisson Becker had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. After having played for 6 minutes, Celso Gaitano managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. F. C. Solitario's supporters crossed their fingers, but Celso Gaitano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Buffalo Timişoara's Franky Ooms got a free kick in the 8th minute. After having played for 8 minutes, Maximo Oihan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. F. C. Solitario's supporters crossed their fingers, but Maximo Oihan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Tiburcio Ereinotz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emil Banciu in the 16th minute of play. Pavel Chibulcutean charged in rather forcefully in the 18th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Pavel Chibulcutean the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 18th match minute, Buffalo Timişoara was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pavel Chibulcutean to maneuver through the defense. Alisson Becker made an important save on a dangerous shot by Thomas Vollmar in the 27th minute. Tiburcio Ereinotz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emil Banciu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Maximo Oihan got free with Alisson Becker in the 32nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the match had gone on for 32 minutes, Maximo Oihan took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Alisson Becker to make any attempt to save it. Tiburcio Ereinotz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Augusto Benitez in the 39th minute of the match. Buffalo Timişoara were awarded a corner in the 41th minute after F. C. Solitario's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Olgierd Kilar took the corner. Buffalo Timişoara's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Olgierd Kilar in the 42nd minute. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Augusto Benitez was the one to do the kick off. 53 minutes into the match, F. C. Solitario's goal looked a bit too open when Augusto Benitez came free, but Tiburcio Ereinotz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Buffalo Timişoara's Pavel Chibulcutean got a free kick in the 56th minute. Maximo Oihan struck a weak shot in the 57th minute. Alisson Becker didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for F. C. Solitario. In the 59th minute, Buffalo Timişoara's Olgierd Kilar seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Olgierd Kilar the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Buffalo Timişoara protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Olgierd Kilar had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The referee gave F. C. Solitario a penalty, 61 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Astor Cesaro, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Buffalo Timişoara's Alisson Becker. 2-1. Buffalo Timişoara's Alisson Becker played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Celso Gaitano in the 96th minute of play. In the 96th minute, Celso Gaitano ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Alisson Becker was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. F. C. Solitario's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
