The audience thought a goal was coming when Norberto Tiadoro got free with Mandra Suherman in the 16th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Deportivo Kadorna's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Segundo Bastiaro in the 17th minute. The corner led Deportivo Kadorna's Segundo Bastiaro to fire away a dangerous shot which Mandra Suherman despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 21st minute, Ruben Ekodono hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 22 minutes into the game, one of Limus Nunggal:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. When the match had been going on for 24 minutes, Deportivo Kadorna's Segundo Bastiaro got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Mandra Suherman. Mandra Suherman made an important save on a dangerous shot by Norberto Tiadoro in the 27th minute. In the 47th minute Oscar Ortiz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mandra Suherman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tantan Sundoro to make the kick off. Mandra Suherman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Melchor Tome in the 54th minute of the match. In the 56th minute Oscar Ortiz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mandra Suherman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 65 minutes, Panji Kalengkongan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Limus Nunggal's supporters crossed their fingers, but Panji Kalengkongan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Limus Nunggal's Daus Prastowo was substituted for Tantan Sundoro. With a little luck, Deportivo Kadorna's Joel Cristofor got control of the ball when Daus Prastowo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Limus Nunggal's Mandra Suherman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Melchor Tome in the 76th minute of play. Limus Nunggal made a substitution. Viggo Skark replaced Panji Kalengkongan. Daus Prastowo kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. Mandra Suherman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Melchor Tome in the 84th minute of play. Mandra Suherman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Oscar Ortiz, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. In the 88th minute, Daus Prastowo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Joel Cristofor was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. When the match had gone on for 91 minutes, Daus Prastowo took a quick shot and it went in 2-3 without a chance for Joel Cristofor to make any attempt to save it.
