The Golden Hills fans' excitement grew in the 9th match minute when Golden Hills's Nolan Abernathy looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Egil Östlund showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Michael Ballack, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Douglas Berger received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Egil Östlund came out and tried to block the shot, but Douglas Berger slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 26th minute. 32 minutes into the match, AMÉRICA F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Ward Doran came free, but Oséas Trancoso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When AMÉRICA F.C.'s Douglas Berger in the 33rd minute got a chance for a shot 33rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The supporters of Golden Hills booed when AMÉRICA F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luiz Fábio Messias didn't get a good kick on the ball. AMÉRICA F.C.'s Oséas Trancoso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ward Doran in the 45th minute of play. The AMÉRICA F.C. players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Golden Hills were winning 1-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Silvinho Pinheiro to strike the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the match, Golden Hills's goal looked a bit too open when Silvinho Pinheiro came free, but Egil Östlund reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 56 minutes into the match, AMÉRICA F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Nolan Abernathy came free, but Oséas Trancoso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The corner led AMÉRICA F.C.'s Edmundo Rosa to fire away a dangerous shot which Egil Östlund despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Egil Östlund showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Silvinho Pinheiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nolan Abernathy got free with Oséas Trancoso in the 74th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
