An unexpectedly hard shot by Epifanio Txomin in the 5th minute of play forced Rega Merida CF's goalkeeper Edmund Kojder to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Edmund Kojder came out of the goal in the 9th minute to try and stop a shot by Racing Club's Epifanio Txomin. But to his dismay, Epifanio Txomin quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 11th minute, Samuel Nevada got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 14 minutes into the match, Rega Merida CF's goal looked a bit too open when Ramiro Lano came free, but Edmund Kojder reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rega Merida CF's Edmund Kojder played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ramiro Lano in the 30th minute of play. Nistor Sârban's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cornelio Cordearo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 34th minute of play. 38 minutes into the game, Racing Club's Ramiro Lano nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Edmund Kojder made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nistor Sârban got free with Cornelio Cordearo in the 47th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

Racing Club's Cristo Faron was substituted for Ramiro Lano. The wind increased when Nistor Sârban made the kick off in the second half. Cornelio Cordearo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nistor Sârban in the 53rd minute of play. In the 54thth minute of the game Nistor Sârban who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Racing Club's Cornelio Cordearo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Benigno Piorno kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nistor Sârban in the 58th minute of play forced Racing Club's goalkeeper Cornelio Cordearo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cornelio Cordearo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nistor Sârban, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nistor Sârban scored 1-2 in the 62nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Cornelio Cordearo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Rega Merida CF's Edmund Kojder proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 71st minute of the match, managed to save Rega Merida CF from getting a goal against them. Rega Merida CF made a substitution. Karol Swiderski replaced Wasyl Dziurowicz. Rega Merida CF made a substitution. Leonello Messias replaced Cemal Palabıyık. Rega Merida CF's La Piszczek was substituted for Filcho Dzhagarov. 86 minutes had been played when some careless play by Rega Merida CF's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Samuel Nevada was slow to take the kick. During this time Racing Club's players had a chance to rest. La Piszczek thought of kicking away a contribution in front of goal but messed it up so badly that the ball went to the right of an astonished Edmund Kojder, a very annoying self made goal in the 86th minute which led to 1-3. Cornelio Cordearo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nistor Sârban in the 92nd minute of play. Racing Club's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
