Spectators: 165 (Terracing: 124, Seating: 38, VIP seats: 3) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Sidney Forbes took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 3rd minute Sid Chadwick shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Keilor Navas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hendro Alexander sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 7th minute, Kerry Sellers left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The C. A. Independiente fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Raul Pacios kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. Eric Snowden took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 11th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Keilor Navas. FC Kyustendil's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 13th minute Sid Chadwick shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Keilor Navas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kerry Sellers might have been able to make a better finish in the 14th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Keilor Navas. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Kerry Sellers ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 20th minute of the game Genko Lepoev made a throw-in which Lautaro Martines played forward. Genko Lepoev hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sidney Forbes in the 23rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Keilor Navas prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Eric Snowden managed to get in a good position for a shot. C. A. Independiente's supporters rose to their feet, but Eric Snowden was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Keilor Navas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Keilor Navas came out of the goal in the 28th minute to try and stop a shot by C. A. Independiente's Kerry Sellers. But to his dismay, Kerry Sellers quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. C. A. Independiente's Tommie Bolton was substituted for Sidney Forbes. A collision led to FC Kyustendil getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Genko Lepoev hit a great ball. Through an outstanding action, after 37 minutes, Farid Mondragón successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Claudio Marangoni took the ball and in the 39 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Keilor Navas. Keilor Navas dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. When C. A. Independiente's Kerry Sellers in the 42nd minute got a chance for a shot 42nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye FC Kyustendil's goalie prevented a goal. 44 minutes into the match, FC Kyustendil's goal looked a bit too open when Kerry Sellers came free, but Keilor Navas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Panayot Salabashev hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kerry Sellers in the 46th minute of play forced FC Kyustendil's goalkeeper Keilor Navas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Keilor Navas made a fantastic save in the 55th minute, when Tommie Bolton sent off a good shot on target. In the 56th minute, Sid Chadwick reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Keilor Navas. The goal made the score 0-4. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lautaro Martines in the 61st minute of play forced C. A. Independiente's goalkeeper Farid Mondragón to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Farid Mondragón showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Raul Pacios, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. In the 71st minute of the match, Tommie Bolton got a very nice opportunity to score, but Keilor Navas was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. After 72 minutes FC Kyustendil's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Tommie Bolton who took care of the corner kick. Keilor Navas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kerry Sellers, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Keilor Navas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kerry Sellers in the 76th minute of play. Farid Mondragón made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Raul Pacios in the 77th minute of play. Keilor Navas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kerry Sellers, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. Kerry Sellers sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Keilor Navas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kerry Sellers in the 84th minute of play. When Hendro Alexander came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the FC Kyustendil fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hendro Alexander couldn't finish the play. After some careless play in the FC Kyustendil defense, Kerry Sellers kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Keilor Navas. The FC Kyustendil fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Keilor Navas should have stopped the shot. Keilor Navas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kerry Sellers in the 96th minute of play. The FC Kyustendil fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. C. A. Independiente were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
