The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Paulo-Henrique Barros kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcelino Segio in the 10th minute of play forced Flamengo de San Blás's goalkeeper Ramon Agurto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 11th minute, Gheorghe Hagi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 19th minute, Flamengo de San Blás's Herbert Mindykowski ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Wellington de Almeida. Wellington de Almeida yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. In the 24th minute of the match Flamengo de San Blás got a corner. Mayhem Sharks's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Paulo-Henrique Barros ran over to the corner to take the kick. Flamengo de San Blás's Paulo-Henrique Barros was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Wellington de Almeida in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After a rather tough play, Mayhem Sharks's Narciso Dias got a free kick in the 25th minute. 29 minutes into the match, Mayhem Sharks's goal looked a bit too open when Arman Söderström came free, but Wellington de Almeida reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Arman Söderström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Wellington de Almeida made a fantastic save in the 33rd minute, when Herbert Mindykowski sent off a good shot on target. Ramon Agurto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Narciso Dias in the 37th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Arman Söderström got free with Wellington de Almeida in the 40th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ramon Agurto didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Marcelino Segio went, in the 43rd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Narciso Dias made the kick off in the second half. Arman Söderström scored 3-1 in the 51st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Wellington de Almeida, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 55 minutes into the game, Arcadio Valdés was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mayhem Sharks's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Flamengo de San Blás the free kick. Arcadio Valdés kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. Wellington de Almeida stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Herbert Mindykowski's shot from short distance in the 56th minute. Wellington de Almeida made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arman Söderström in the 57th minute of play. Narciso Dias could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 59th minute of the match, but Ramon Agurto made a huge save. In the 61st minute Herbert Mindykowski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wellington de Almeida saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Wellington de Almeida showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Herbert Mindykowski, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. In the 71st minute Herbert Mindykowski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wellington de Almeida saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Mayhem Sharks's Denílson Cerezo got a free kick in the 71st minute. Wellington de Almeida made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Herbert Mindykowski in the 72nd minute of play. In the 74th match minute, Mayhem Sharks was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paulo José Garcia to maneuver through the defense. 75 minutes into the match, Flamengo de San Blás's Paulo-Henrique Barros broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Wellington de Almeida made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Totín Garcia De Paredes in the 80th minute of play. Mayhem Sharks's Wellington de Almeida played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gabriel Chavez in the 85th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arman Söderström in the 86th minute of play forced Mayhem Sharks's goalkeeper Wellington de Almeida to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gabriel Chavez scored 4-1 in the 87th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Wellington de Almeida, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Durvalino Carneiro hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. Wellington de Almeida showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gabriel Chavez in the 93rd minute of the match. When the referee ended the match the Flamengo de San Blás players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
