The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 8 played minutes, FC MARKUS's Pawel Sikola shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Claudio Umbruso came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in FC MARKUS reached it. FC MARKUS's Teobald Jeziorkowski got a good chance for a goal in the 10th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 13th minute of the match, Uriel Silbestre tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Edward Slazak saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. FC MARKUS's Edward Slazak played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tití Fernandes Braga in the 15th minute of play. In the 16th minute of the match Los Gaticidas got a corner. FC MARKUS's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Fábio Rochemback ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Blas Florian got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Edward Slazak quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. FC MARKUS's Edward Slazak proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 18th minute of the match, managed to save FC MARKUS from getting a goal against them. Claudio Umbruso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gandalf Head in the 19th minute of the match. In the 21st minute Gandalf Head shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Claudio Umbruso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Zhu Yue sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the FC MARKUS defense, Tití Fernandes Braga kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Edward Slazak. The FC MARKUS fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Edward Slazak should have stopped the shot. Claudio Umbruso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Teobald Jeziorkowski, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. Uriel Silbestre fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edward Slazak having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Teobald Jeziorkowski in the 37th minute of play forced Los Gaticidas's goalkeeper Claudio Umbruso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Zhu Yue got free with Edward Slazak in the 42nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Gandalf Head made the kick off in the second half. Teobald Jeziorkowski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. With a little luck, Los Gaticidas's Claudio Umbruso got control of the ball when Teobald Jeziorkowski tried to sneak it across the goal line. Claudio Umbruso made a fantastic save in the 59th minute, when Teobald Jeziorkowski sent off a good shot on target. In the 95th minute Zhu Yue shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edward Slazak saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Los Gaticidas fans cheered their team off the field, for while FC MARKUS had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
