Kraig Fred struck a weak shot in the 3rd minute. Basílio Cosme didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Estudiantes de América. 4 minutes into the match, Kraig Fred had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Basílio Cosme. Pirajiba's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Kraig Fred was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. After a rather tough play, Pirajiba's Luisinho Alcântara got a free kick in the 7th minute. Basílio Cosme didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Kraig Fred went, in the 9th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. 12 minutes into the game, Estudiantes de América's Kraig Fred nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Basílio Cosme made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. Basílio Cosme made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kraig Fred in the 16th minute of play. In the 19th minute, Kraig Fred ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Basílio Cosme was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kraig Fred in the 22nd minute of play forced Pirajiba's goalkeeper Basílio Cosme to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 23 minutes into the match, Kraig Fred had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Basílio Cosme. In the 26th minute, Kraig Fred ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Basílio Cosme was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-6. Basílio Cosme stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Kraig Fred's shot from short distance in the 31st minute. 33 minutes into the match, Kraig Fred notched a goal, 0-7, to the right of Pirajiba's Basílio Cosme. Basílio Cosme was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When Kraig Fred came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the Estudiantes de América fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kraig Fred couldn't finish the play. The Estudiantes de América fans' excitement grew in the 38th match minute when Estudiantes de América's Kraig Fred looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-8 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After some careless play in the Pirajiba defense, Kraig Fred kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Basílio Cosme. The Pirajiba fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Basílio Cosme should have stopped the shot. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-10 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Kraig Fred stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Basílio Cosme took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kraig Fred, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 53 minutes into the game, Kraig Fred recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Basílio Cosme. Kraig Fred showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-11. In the 57th minute Nelson de Queiroz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcos Ranolfo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 60 minutes into the match Kraig Fred climbed in front of goal and pressed up 0-12 in the right cross behind a totally surprised Basílio Cosme. Estudiantes de América's Orlando Beltza was substituted for Flavio Iraunkor. Estudiantes de América made a substitution. Traian Blăniță replaced Cornelio Ruisko. Concetto Trasatti fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Basílio Cosme having to interfere. The supporters of Estudiantes de América booed when Pirajiba was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Deivid Bueno didn't get a good kick on the ball. Concetto Trasattis short, quick shot in the 71stth minute got Basílio Cosme to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Concetto Trasatti scored 0-14 in the 76th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Basílio Cosme, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. A collision led to Pirajiba getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Juarês Magalhães hit a great ball. Pirajiba's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Orlando Beltza 83 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-15. After a rather tough play, Pirajiba's Nelson de Queiroz got a free kick in the 88th minute. Orlando Beltza struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. In the 94th minute, Pirajiba's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Concetto Trasatti fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. After 96 minutes of play, Estudiantes de América's Traian Blăniță made it 0-17 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Basílio Cosme was left in no man's land by his defense there! When the final whistle sounded Estudiantes de América left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Pirajiba.
