The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 4th minute, Kraig Fred made a precise shot to the right of Radomir Zurawski. RW AHLEN-KNURÓW's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Kraig Fred blasted a shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Radomir Zurawski having to make a save. 14 minutes into the match, RW AHLEN-KNURÓW's goal looked a bit too open when Cornelio Ruisko came free, but Radomir Zurawski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Roman Miskiewicz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 20th minute, Kraig Fred hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Leonard Popowicz blasted a shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Marcos Ranolfo having to make a save. The supporters of RW AHLEN-KNURÓW booed when Estudiantes de América was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Maximo Dei didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 29th minute of the match, Leonard Popowicz got a very nice opportunity to score, but Marcos Ranolfo was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 35th minute, RW AHLEN-KNURÓW's Leonard Popowicz dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-2. Leonard Popowicz struck a weak shot in the 38th minute. Marcos Ranolfo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for RW AHLEN-KNURÓW. Radomir Zurawski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kraig Fred in the 45th minute of the match. After the first half Estudiantes de América were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Leonard Popowicz to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute, Maximo Dei hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some careless play in the RW AHLEN-KNURÓW defense, Kraig Fred kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Radomir Zurawski. The RW AHLEN-KNURÓW fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Radomir Zurawski should have stopped the shot. Estudiantes de América made a substitution. Concetto Trasatti replaced Kraig Fred. In the 74thth minute of the game Leonard Popowicz who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Estudiantes de América's Marcos Ranolfo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luciano Sidoro in the 76th minute of play forced RW AHLEN-KNURÓW's goalkeeper Radomir Zurawski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Leonard Popowicz kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. Radomir Zurawski made an important save on a dangerous shot by Traian Blăniță in the 86th minute. Concetto Trasatti's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 88thth minute, Radomir Zurawski skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. RW AHLEN-KNURÓW's Radomir Zurawski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Concetto Trasatti in the 90th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Estudiantes de América's Luciano Sidoro slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Radomir Zurawski. That made the score 2-4 after 91 minutes of play. Estudiantes de América's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
